I got goosebumps all of a sudden. At the end of last year my cousin F-kun died in a car accident.

We used to play together a lot as children so I was heartbroken. According to what my mother told me he was driving straight along a nice stretch of road when suddenly he turned the steering wheel and drove into a river where he died.

Even now we don’t know why he suddenly turned the wheel.

The reason why I returned home after so long was because I wanted to light some incense for F-kun.

“So, last summer failed? The person carrying the lantern?” I asked.
